SacAnime Summer 2012

Hello, everyone! I hope you all had a FANTASTIC Labor Day weekend! I know I had a super amazing one! (: I went to SacAnime on Saturday with my two friends Hailey and Patrick. When we got there, there was hardly any parking so we were parked right in front of the plant waste dumpster where they drop all the dead tree limbs off at and stuff. I didn't really "cosplay", but I made my hair and makeup sort of "Visual Kei". Again, the quotations are used loosely so please don't judge me seriously on my hair and makeup. I didn't have exact "references" so I tried to mimic the basic style of it. Here's a picture of how I looked that day, taken in the car on the way to the convention. Because that's how I always take pictures. :D

Except for the last picture where I spotted a Pyramid Head cosplayer and desperately wanted to take a picture with him because I absolutely love Pyramid Head. I am a crazy Silent Hill fangirl.

Anyway so we spent most of our time at the artist alley and hanging out with another friend Sarah whom we met up with when we practically first got to the convention.We didn't really do much at this convention; we just met a lot of people and talked and made new friends and it was all happy and rainbows and unicorns and aaaahhhhhhh! Amazing! We also went around the vendor room, but, like all vendor rooms, it was super crowded & I only bought a couple things from there. I didn't take pictures of what I purchased.... sorry!

Okay well, thank you guys so much for reading this and if you plan on heading out to SacAnime in January I will hopefully have an art table with my friend Hailey!! So if you see us feel free to stop by and say hello! I will definitely post an update here on whether or not we get the art table since the last few times we've tried to, they were sold out and we felt like crying. So hopefully that doesn't happen but if it does we are still going to be there! It would just be more difficult to find us if you wanted to meet us. But hopefully we get it. Audition

Finally finishing off my 50 days project! (: This is me with my student ID (covering up my number so you creepers out there can't creep on me). I was so frustrated getting it because I lost the one that I got at orientation, so I had to pay $30 to replace it. Turns out it's an extra $10 to retake the picture, which I found that out AFTER I got it. ):
Anyway on a happier note do you see the lanyard around my neck? There was a super-nice employee at the bookstore who bought it for me because my debit card wasn't working right. So I need to fix that problem but he was sooo nice to do that for me! I was expecting him to put it on hold for me so that I could go back to my dorm room and get some cash or something (in like, all change since that's all I have). But nice people are out there. (:

I can't even begin to describe the immense amount of happiness and joy that is just circling around inside of my being. Pierce the Veil had a contest where they were giving away autographed props from their music video "King for a Day" as well as a couple of tickets for their "Collide with the Sky" concert tour. I was shopping with my mom at Wal-Mart for some last minute "I NEED THIS FOR COLLEGE" items and got this tweet. I immediately start freaking out and saying "Holy freak" in the middle of the store. At first, I think it's real. And then I wonder if some prick made a fake twitter to mess with people and I start to get a little angry, thinking "if this is fake I will track down whoever it is and stab them in the face". So I rush my mom to hurry up so I can go check it on facebook and twitter (because I'm not allowed to use the internet on my phone P: ) So when we finally get home I immediately go on twitter and I freak out once more because it is indeed TRUE! So this picture doesn't even begin to cover how much of a freak I looked like while in the midst of spazzing out. Oh, and here's a screenshot the other winner Ryan posted on my facebook page. (: I think I would have giggled more if his battery level was at 69%.

Nathan took me out on an amazing date. This is probably the last time I'll see him until he comes with me to help me move into my dorm on Saturday, so hanging out with him today meant so much to me. We went to Barnes & Noble because I wanted to buy a book, then we browsed around World Market and bought a couple of snack food items (chocolate and more chocolate). He then took me out to a local sushi bar for all-you-can-eat sushi. This is why he's so amazing. He doesn't have a lot of money and he still chooses to spend like fifty dollars for us to have an amazing day. I completely understand what it's like to feel broke almost 24/7 and for him to want to do that for me makes me feel so special, like he could choose to spend his money on himself but for him to be so selfless makes me so happy.

 My first actual broadcast that's taken mildly seriously! I joined younow.com and for the most part I was disliked immediately off of my broadcasts because people were jerks and didn't want to give me a couple of minutes. But this was my first mildly successful one where I actually had about forty-five minutes to talk to people! It was certainly a lot of fun but I don't think I could ever do one exactly like it again since when I was finished it was past three in the morning and I was sleepy so I needed to go to bed. But I will definitely try to broadcast on a regular basis. I need to adjust to my schedule once I move into college so I will definitely keep you guys up to date on that if you're interested.

Nathan and I took some pictures together outside of Olive Garden where he took me out to a very lovely dinner. We tried the "endless pasta bowl" which isn't really endless since normal people could probably eat only two bowls of it. I ate one bowl, ordered another, but could only eat like two bites of it so I took it home for lunch the next day. It's only like ten dollars so if you don't mind pasta on the "plainer" side the it's definitely worth ordering.(It's three dollars more if you want stuff like meatballs so it is a very good thing that I'm a vegetarian!)

 Pink and brown sparkly makeup. I really loved loved loved how this turned out and I'm going to put up an offer for you guys. If I get at least twenty notes on this on my tumblr, I'll make a makeup tutorial to show you guys step-by-step how to achieve this look and the products that I used for it. Depending on how many notes it receives, I might make it a tutorial/giveaway where I give away a piece or two of the same type of makeup that I used for this look!

Sleeping with my kitty the night before she goes in for surgery. Don't worry, the surgery is only so that she won't have babies, aka she's getting spayed. She wasn't allowed to eat after 8PM so she was getting hungry as it was getting close to midnight. I bet she wishes that she ate more kitty chow when it was like seven o'clock.

Went shopping at Bath & Body Works today! It was their "party in Paris" event sort of thing where they gave away a free gift if you bought a full size signature collection item. Also, because I was towards the beginning of their customers for the party thing, they gave me a coupon so I could get another full size item for free. This was seriously one of the happiest moments of my life. In May, I mentioned my 1,000 kiriban on deviantart in a post on here, expecting to reach it when my account was at least a year old, which will be on September 17th. I was super excited when it came time for my weekly journal update because my pageview chart was so close to reaching 1,000! It was at like, 970 or something like that. I was anticipating reaching my goal either the day after I posted that or the day after that, because I normally get about 5-10 pageviews a day, a little bit more if I post a deviation or a journal entry. So, surprise surprise! I received around 40 pageviews that day, achieving my goal! (: My good friend Hailey caught my kiriban and won this lovely prize of a sign from me to her.
If any of you readers are also watching me on deviantart & wanted to catch my kiriban, don't worry! I reset the kiriban to 2,500 and the prize for that will include a sign similar to what you see above PLUS an eos lip balm in the flavor of your choice! If you don't know what an eos lip balm is, I explain it in this video & also I invite you to throw your questions at me for a Q&A video that I would like to make sometime before the year is over. I also invite you to subscribe to me on youtube & watch me on deviantart because I think it would be really nifty to start up contests and I would like to have at least a decent number of people who show support on my pages for me to do that. I'm not sure what kind of contests I would initially start out with, but I do know that if I get more watchers and subscribers then I would be more likely to do huge give-aways of stuff like make-up sets & hair products & all sorts of other goodies. c:
