It's 4AM & I'm Wide Awake...

...waiting for my thoughts to fade.

No, but seriously. It's around four in the morning and I have no idea why I'm still awake. I should be sleeping by now but instead I'm up on my computer. Well, that's probably the reason why I'm awake. I don't have anything else to do. I should be bored to the point where I shut off my computer and go to sleep. Strangely, though, I just can't quite do that yet.

I dyed my hair pink today. Well, technically earlier this morning, since it was practically right after midnight. I'll post some pictures of it soon. From how it looked when I washed it out, I like how the color came out.

My circle lenses came in today. Or technically, it was yesterday. I'll make another blog post about them. (: They're absolutely wonderful. I love them so much and I can't wait to order more from the website. I'm not sure what color I would want to choose; like I'm still not sure if I want to get the same color in a different style or go for a completely different color and style combination. I'll just take a look around and see if there's anything that catches my eye. (:

I'm going to make a new youtube account soon. I'm currently in the middle of deciding on a name. I have a couple of different possibilities that I'm considering right now but I'm going to keep them mostly to myself because I don't want my final decision to be influenced by people over the internet that I don't know too well, since I personally believe that out of everyone in the world, I am the one that knows and understands myself the best. But once I make a new youtube account then I can start up my storenvy and sell lovely craft items. (: Life is just full of so many possibilities and opportunities right now and I'm so excited for them all.

Outfit of the Day?

I've always adored the idea of daily outfit videos and I enjoy watching them on youtube. However, I feel like the sheer amount of videos would be overwhelming, especially since I make other sorts of videos (for the record, I have never made an "outfit of the day" video). So I was thinking of starting them up on this blog, since I just recently made a cute little navigation bar off to the left side of my blog. My "daily outfit" posts will, of course, go under my "fashion" tab. I just feel like I don't post a lot on this blog. I mean, the most I've posted was over the summer when I had my 50 photographs flickr project. I think making daily outfit blog posts would be entertaining and while I may not remember the approximate cost of whatever I'm wearing, I will most likely remember where I got it from. Unless I'm wearing something that I've had for a really long time. In that case, I probably won't remember where it was from. But I would need someone to help me, since I don't have a tripod and I'm really bad at taking images of myself for full body shots. And makeshift tripods are no help at all. Because I can't rest my camera on its side. Anyway, I don't have class until 3:00 today since my stagecraft class is split in half this week & next so I'll be attending this lesson on Tuesday next week. Ooh, I have time to paint & draw today. I might post some of my artwork soon. (:

I HAVE A TABLE!!!!

Like I mentioned in my previous post, I would keep you guys informed about the Artist Alley table for the SacAnime Winter 2013 convention. The good news is.... I was able to reserve a table in time! (: I will be there with my friend Hailey and we will sell artwork and I also plan to sell t-shirts too! (: You can check out my deviantart and possibly add me to your watch list? I plan on uploading my drawings once I download GIMP to make it all nice and colorful! (:

200? WOW! :D

I checked my statistics today and saw that I reached 200 pageviews in a single month this month. I don't think you readers fully understand the immense joy that just bursts throughout me whenever I see that. I feel like I am defining myself and making myself who I am, and people are recognizing my growth as a photographer. This inspires me beyond imagination to strive to improve my work so that I can continue to grow and learn all that I can. But all this cannot be possible without your support. You guys make me smile all the time just by viewing my blog. c:

Haircuts

I need to get my bangs trimmed. But I'm terrified that it won't turn out the way I want it to. I want it to look like this sort of;
©RisaIsAFox
Not sure if the colours she used would look good in my hair; but I want the bangs to look similar to what she has. But then I'd have to have my hair the same way everyday since I'm not sure how it would react to being like pulled back or whatnot. Well, I know I can't take in a snapshot of this image in to a salon because the last time I tried that they barely cut my bangs and instead focused on the sides of my hair. :I So I guess I'll try cutting it myself; it's my bangs. It should be easy, right? I'm going to end up screwing up I know it.

I got a henna tattoo at the fair! (: I really like how this one came out, although it sort of makes me wish that I had taken a much better picture of the henna tattoo that I got on the night of Grad Nite. I always choose the worst time of day to get a henna tattoo on the worst place on my body. This happened on both of the henna tattoos that I've had. The last one was on my belly, too, and I had to walk around with my shirt lifted up while it was freezing outside.

Cable ):

I can't seem to find the cable that I use to connect my camera to my computer. Which is really strange since I transferred images only a couple days ago. I have a feeling that it's slipped underneath my covers and is chilling at the foot of my bed. I'll check that once I finish up this post.
To a happier note, it's getting very close to my kiriban! c: Check out my Deviantart & if you see my pageview at 1,000; you've won! c:
Edit;
Why do I have this horrible feeling that my mom took it away from me as some sort of punishment because my room is disorganized?
Edit II;
So it turns out my mom just stuck it in a bag and then stuck that bag on my bookshelf because she didn't want my cat to chew it up. Thanks for telling me earlier, mom.

I need sony vegas again...

So... uploading videos on my new laptop is proving to be a huge pain in the butt. I don't have anything that will easily convert my raw .mov files from my camera into an easily uploadable (is this even a word?) .wmv file for youtube. I had no problem with this on my old laptop where I had access to Sony Vegas Movie Studio, since I could just choose to render it as a .wmv file instead of going on Windows Movie Maker and selecting "choose the best one for this project because apparently I am too much of a dumbass to know the differences between movie files and I wouldn't know that a .wmv file would be best for my needs".
And yep, Movie Maker is not responding.
Fan-fucking-tastic.

My dog pierced her foot with the chain that we tie her up on in the backyard so that she doesn't jump the fence. I don't understand how she managed to do that. My mom went out to bring her in and noticed that her foot was caught on the part of the chain with the hook. She tried to free her, but Marley kept crying out, so she called for me to help. At first I think that it's caught around her toe like how a ring can get stuck on a finger. So I try to open it up to free her toe that way. That was when I realized that it was actually through the webbing between her toes. My poor baby! So this picture was taken after the incident. I want to keep track of it for the next few days to make sure that it's healing properly and not get infected & stuff.

My mom is a dork

So, my mom took me out to drive today. Yes. I'm 18 and I just recently got my permit. Yay? Anyway, we go out to the community college to practice in the parking lot. It's fine for a while, and then my mom wants me to practice parallel parking. Well, the reason why we went to the community college parking lot was so that there wouldn't be any other cars around, so practicing a parallel park would be considered somewhat of a challenge. Never fear, my mom has all the answers. She takes my laundry detergent and fabric softener (for college) from the trunk and sets them up to be the "cars that I have to park in between". Right? Anyway, I guess I was taking too long switching back and forth between "reverse" and "drive" because I didn't want to hit the laundry supplies, so my mom told me that she would parallel park. Her reasoning? "Well. if it's easy for me then it'll be easy for you." And she kicks me out of the car so I can watch how she does it. She pulls forward in front of the fabric softener (that was the front car) and proceeds to back up towards the detergent. She gets dangerously close to the detergent, and I yell at her to stop once she hits it and it falls over. Can she hear me? No. She keeps going until I'm screaming "stop!" and waving my arms to get her attention.
But I exaggerate. You thought that the bottle was completely run over, didn't you? It was hit, yes, and it was knocked over, but it was, shall we say, mildly squished. I am not taking it to college because it's leaking from who knows where, but I'm not going to be a selfish prick about it. The detergent will get used, trust me.
Well, I would call that my Laura Cooper driving experience, except I didn't pop my hubcap off of my tire. I might eventually, though, seeing as how I inherited genes from my mother and she squished my laundry detergent.

(:

I'm really excited about the upcoming county fair in my area. I normally don't care for these sort of events, but they have an "art show" there and I'm thinking about entering some of my photography in. It's only $3.50 to enter a piece, so how can I not? Some pieces I'm considering are posted on my flickr, including Naptime, one of my favourite pictures of my kitten, Sophie. There are also a few other photographs, but I haven't posted them on my deviantart or my flickr. So we'll see how that goes. I think it'll be pretty nifty if I get a ribbon on something. The fair takes place in August, so we'll see how my work does. Wish me luck! (:

Numbness

I found Cupcake in her cage on Friday night, the first of June. She was behind her little igloo, lying down. I tapped on the bars of the cage. No response. So I opened up the cage and I gently touched her side. She was cold. And at that moment, I remembered when my friend Cassie told me about when she was holding a cat that had broken ribs, and the cat suddenly grew cold in her arms.
I knew that it was for the best. I could hear her have trouble breathing at night. She was getting old, and losing the fur around her hind legs. She couldn't move as quickly as she once did, and I don't remember the last time that I heard her running on her wheel.
Still... it's hard to believe that she's really gone. The cage is still on my desk, untouched after I took her out for the last time. I know I have to put it away soon, but... it's difficult to part with it. It was only a little over a year ago that I pulled it out for her. And now she's gone. I know they don't live that long. But it doesn't make the sadness go away. I must have bawled for an hour or something. There's something about finding such an adorable creature laying there lifeless that just breaks your heart. And of course, there is the inevitable self-questioning. What could I have done that would have extended her life?
Was I too careless in taking care of her?
I should have paid much more attention to her. Then I would have known.
This is the time for grieving.

As Summer was just beginning

Yearbooks were distributed the other day. It's so close to the end of summer for me and the beginning of a new chapter in my life. Graduation will take place on the ninth this month. The days will seem long at first. I'll sleep in until ten or eleven in the morning, taking advantage of not having to wake up right when the sun is starting to rise. My days will consist of lounging around on the couch, mindlessly flipping through channels on the television while I slowly fill my stomach with cereal and milk, and maybe an Odwalla or Naked juice. I like the green flavor.
I'll look for a job here and there. Target maybe, or Starbucks. I know if I get a job at Starbucks I'll get fat from buying an over-sweetened iced coffee drink every day that I work. If I'm lucky, I'll get along with my manager and be able to get the 23rd off to go to San Francisco that day for Warped Tour. I still need to purchase my ticket for that. I'll hopefully be able to go with Nathan and Trish. That would be a fun day. Pierce the Veil is scheduled to be there.
And then summer will seem to pass by just like that. It'll be time to move into my college dorm and I'll start my classes that following week. But for now, I'll just lounge around beside my friend's pool and we'll race cardboard boats across her pool and back. I'll have my camera around me all the time so that I can guarantee that I won't forget anything that's happened throughout the lazy days of summer.  I'll bleach my hair so that I can dye it fun, crazy colors. Haters gonna hate.
